Michael Howard is a builder, a fighter, and a Democrat with deep Detroit roots who knows how to bring people together to get things done.

Born and raised near 7 Mile and Conant, Michael came home after college with a mission to serve the community that built him. As a small business owner, nonprofit leader, and Macomb County Commissioner, he’s delivered real results—securing millions for road repairs, expanding access to mental health care, and improving public safety.

Now, he’s running for State Representative to build a Michigan where every family can thrive. He’ll fight to make water affordable, expand access to affordable housing, prevent crime and violence, protect voting rights through the Michigan Voting Rights Act, and advance workers’ rights, fair wages, and environmental justice.
